C.A. Technologies 22-1100 Series 200H HVLP Air Cap

Equip your C.A. Technologies Lynx 200H spray gun with the genuine 22-1100 HVLP air cap. This Series 200H air cap delivers controlled atomization for lacquers, enamels, primers, sealers, urethanes, automotive finishes, and other thin to medium-viscosity coatings.

Match the right air cap to your coating and fluid tip for a clean pattern, dependable atomization, and professional results.

Performance Highlights

  • Designed for C.A. Technologies Series 200H HVLP spray guns
  • Compatible with the Lynx 200H corrosion-control spray gun
  • Supports pressure-feed and properly configured siphon-feed applications
  • Rated at 18 CFM at 37 PSI maximum listed inlet pressure
  • Compatible with 1.1 mm and 1.4 mm fluid-tip configurations
  • Genuine C.A. Technologies replacement air cap

Controlled HVLP Atomization

The air cap directs compressed air around the fluid stream as coating material leaves the nozzle. Its precision center passages and horn openings control atomization, fan development, and spray-pattern shape.

The C.A. Technologies 22-1100 is designed for the Series 200H HVLP platform. When matched with the correct fluid nozzle, needle, air pressure, and fluid delivery, it helps produce a controlled pattern with efficient coating transfer.

Features

  • Series 200H HVLP air cap
  • Made for professional pressure and siphon spray applications
  • Compatible with the Lynx 200H spray gun
  • Supports 1.1 mm and 1.4 mm fluid tips
  • Uses approximately 18 CFM at maximum listed inlet pressure
  • Produces up to an approximately 12-inch pattern under proper conditions
  • C.A. Technologies part number 22-1100

Benefits

  • Improve atomization: Correct airflow helps break the coating into a controlled and uniform spray.
  • Maintain pattern consistency: Precision horn air supports an even fan from top to bottom.
  • Support transfer efficiency: Correct HVLP operation helps place more coating on the part with less uncontrolled overspray.
  • Handle multiple finishes: Compatible fluid-tip options support a range of thin and medium-viscosity materials.
  • Restore spray performance: Replacing a worn or damaged cap can correct pattern problems that cleaning alone cannot solve.

Compatible Spray Gun

  • Gun: C.A. Technologies Lynx 200H
  • Technology: HVLP
  • Primary configuration: Pressure feed
  • Application: Industrial and corrosion-control finishing

Important: Match the air cap to the spray gun model, fluid nozzle, fluid needle, coating viscosity, and desired pattern. Similar C.A. Technologies air caps may fit the retaining ring but provide different airflow and atomization characteristics.

Compatible Fluid-Tip Sizes

  • 1.1 mm: Thin coatings such as stains, lacquers, sealers, and similar materials
  • 1.4 mm: Enamels, primers, urethanes, automotive finishes, and other medium-viscosity coatings

The standard 22-1100 should not be confused with the specialized 22-1100 x 2.2S configuration. Confirm the complete air-cap designation before pairing it with a 2.2 mm fluid tip.

Typical Coating Materials

  • Lacquers
  • Stains and dyes
  • Sealers
  • Industrial enamels
  • Primers
  • Urethane coatings
  • Automotive basecoats
  • Automotive clear finishes

Air Requirements

  • Air consumption: 18 CFM at 37 PSI
  • Maximum listed inlet pressure for HVLP operation: 37 PSI

The compressor and air-delivery system must supply the required airflow at the spray gun. A compressor can display adequate static pressure while failing to deliver enough CFM through undersized hose, restrictive fittings, dirty filters, or inadequate piping.

Set atomizing pressure with the gun triggered and air flowing. Begin at the lowest pressure that produces acceptable atomization, then make controlled adjustments to air pressure, fluid pressure, and fan width.

Signs an Air Cap Needs Attention

Inspect the air cap when the pattern becomes heavy on one side, split, distorted, inconsistent, or difficult to adjust. Dried coating inside the horn openings or center passages can create many of the same symptoms as a damaged air cap.

Clean blocked passages with the recommended solvent and a nonmetallic air-cap cleaning tool. Never use drill bits, wire, or hard metal objects that can enlarge or deform the precision openings.

Installation and Setup

Completely relieve air and fluid pressure before removing the existing air cap. Inspect the fluid nozzle, retaining ring, air-cap seating surfaces, and cap openings for coating buildup, wear, or damage.

Install the 22-1100 squarely over the compatible fluid nozzle. Tighten the retaining ring only enough to hold the cap securely while still allowing pattern orientation.

After installation, test the spray pattern and adjust atomizing air, fluid delivery, and fan control for the coating being sprayed.
